Since 1985, BRANOfilter has been guided by this vision. But it’s not just the function of our products that should have a positive impact on air purity. The entire value chain, from resource procurement through the manufacturing process to end customer use, should meet our commitment to act sustainably and responsibly.
In addition to our goal of producing carbon-neutral by 2025, as part of the FSC certification, we are expanding our sustainability focus to include forest-based product components and their supply chain. FSC provides us with the opportunity to contribute to resource conservation while maintaining our established quality standards. Our site in Hlinsko (CZ) is also involved in this process. Since 1998, we have been producing high-quality filters made of paper and support plates made of cardboard, which serve as a renewable alternative to nonwovens and plastic support plates. Continuous product optimization, highest quality standards, and responsible use of resources ensure our customers an all-around sustainable product – for a clean future.
Our contribution to certified forest-based products.
Through FSC certification, we take on even more responsibility for sustainable resource procurement while simultaneously ensuring social standards in forestry. The certification applies to all products where at least one component consists of forest-based materials (wood, paper, cardboard). Such a component could be, for example, a cardboard support plate, packaging, or a complete paper filter bag. The FSC logo attests that the material used comes from responsibly managed forests. FSC Certification System
Forest Stewardship Council® – For over 25 years, FSC has been advocating for the protection of important environmental and social standards in forests. Certification is verified by independent third parties and renewed annually. By purchasing paper products with the FSC label, consumers opt for sustainable forest resource management.
The FSC seal ensures that forests are not overexploited, clear-cutting is avoided, biodiversity is promoted, and the use of pesticides is significantly reduced. FSC advocates for the increase of natural mixed forests, the protection of forest soil, and the preservation of rare species and ecosystems. As a result, forests are more resilient in a changing climate and can sequester more CO2 as an ecosystem in the long term. Through high social standards, FSC ensures fair remuneration and promotes greater public participation in forests.
